Mr. Filter’s simulation mode supports using arbitrary opamp models in the SPICE format. However, SPICE is a highly fragmented format and every vendor uses a slightly different variation. This table presents a number of opamps that have been tested with Mr. Filter’s Gnucap backend. If you find more models that work, or find an error on this list, please write to the mailing list.
Known failures are too numerous to show here. Every Linear Technologies opamp not shown here has been tested and failed. Every TI opamp with a pspice model not shown here has been tested and failed. Few National Semiconductors opamps have been tested, and none from any other vendor.
Spicelib includes many opamp models that have been tested with ngspice. It automates the process of downloading models from multiple vendors, testing them, and presenting them to gEDA.
